The Louisiana Cancer Foundation was founded in 1999

... by the Northeast Louisiana Cancer Institute and obtained its 501 (c) (3) status in early 2000. The purpose of the LCF is to increase public awareness, early detection, treatment and research for cancer throughout Northeast Louisiana. Services of the LCF are maintained through grants, fundraisers and private and corporate contributions.

Governor John Bel Edwards Presents a Certificate of Recognition.

December 2018-Evan Alvarez, Community Specialist from the Office of the Governor presented this certificate on behalf of Governor John Bel Edwards to the Louisiana Cancer Foundation.

"In acknowledgement of its dedication and mission to increase public awareness, early detection, treatment and research for cancer throughout Northeast Louisiana while also promoting quality-of-life for cancer patients and their families."
