Last year, I signed up for this very same type of screening hosted at The Assembly West Monroe and had a mammogram while on my lunch break. A week later, I received a call from Louisiana Cancer Foundation about a finding and was told that I needed a biopsy.

LCF was very helpful throughout the process, and the biopsy confirmed that I had Lobular Carcinoma in situ. The Cancer Foundation League’s Patient Assistance fund helped me also with travel expenses to important medical appointments.

Thankfully, due to LCF’s Breast Cancer Screening, the cancer cells were caught very early which prevented me from needing additional treatment at this time.
