Free Cancer Screenings Throughout the Year
Throughout the year, Louisiana Cancer Foundation—along with the Cancer Foundation League and other community sponsors—hosts free breast, cervical, colorectal, skin, and prostate cancer screenings. Mark your calendar and find details for each screening, including event dates, appointment requirements (if applicable), and any additional eligibility guidelines.
Breast and Cervical Cancer Screenings
Healthcare professionals are onsite to perform breast exams, pap smears, and 3D screening mammograms twice a year during the months of January, March, May, and October. Mammograms are open to all women over the age of 40.
Colorectal Cancer Screening
Simple and sanitary home testing kits are available for free at Louisiana Cancer Foundation for a self-test year round with special encouragement during the month of March.
Prostate Cancer Screening
Our free prostate screening is held during the month of September and is open to every man over the age of 40 who is not seen annually by his own physician.
Skin Cancer Screenings
Louisiana Cancer Foundation holds an annual free skin cancer screening in the months of March and August. This screening does not require an appointment and is first come, first serve.

Our fundraisers and events help The Louisiana Cancer Foundation provide practical support for cancer patients, hold free public cancer screenings, and fund cancer research and education in northeeast Louisiana. Our yearly events include Cancer Foundation League Gala, Cancer Foundation League Fashion Fusion, Cancer Foundation League Theresa Marsala Golf Tournament, MAD Dash, and Cancer Survivor’s Breakfast.
